I've been noticing for over a year now that Beatrice tends to drag her water bowl around the kitchen, spilling water everywhere. (The shape of the bowl means she can't tip it over.) What I did not realise is that this is deliberate.

I just saw her grab the bowl with her paw, firmly jerk it forward and back so that the water spilled, then start lapping the water up from the floor.

Water is a thing with cats. My two insist that when I'm in the bathroom, both the tub and the sink faucets must trickle so they can drink. Occasionally, one is drinking at the bottom in the tub and the other will get in at the top, sideways.

Cats!

Perhaps the bowl tickles her whiskers. Or floor flavour is better, who knows.
